Using General Index (GX) Assessments in Sparta Curves

Overview
Sparta now includes GX Assessments — trusted daily physical price benchmarks — directly within the Live Curves interface. These assessments are useful for validating market activity and comparing forward views with spot indicators.

Where You'll See GX Assessments

• In Live Curves table (below Market Activity)

  

• GX row appears only if at least one product has a GX quote

• Click a cell to open Live Curves Dashboard with GX data preloaded

  

• Also available via product selector/date picker

What GX Covers

• 80+ mapped products

• Strongest alignment with Argus in Gasoline and LPG

• Reliable signal in broader oil markets, even where Platts dominates

Limitations

• No GX in Combo, Forwards, or Futures charts

• No GX on iOS

• Excel Add-in support coming soon

Q: What if a product doesn’t have GX data?
A: It will show a dash (‘–’). If any product in your portfolio has a GX value, the row still appears.

Q: Do I need to activate it?
A: No, GX assessments are automatically available for supported products.
